Payment Information

We offer free to low cost health services.

If you are concerned about your ability to pay for services, you may be eligible for a financial aid program that provides free or very low cost services.

Ways to Pay for Services:

We accept most Private Insurance Plans and Medicaid HMOs:
At your clinic visit, please bring proof of current enrollment in any plan. Payment is expected at the time of service.

For Medicaid – you do not need a referral from your primary care physician to receive family planning services at our clinics. Please call us at 956-688-3700 if your Medicaid HMO tells you that you do.

Most private insurance plans do not require a co-pay for preventive health exams. A co-pay may be needed if you need treatment or medication for any health problems.

Funding Programs:

We offer programs can help pay some or all of the cost of your services. Our clinic staff can check your eligibility, help you apply, and provide you with services all on the same day.

We screen first for eligibility with the Healthy Texas Women program, which provides services at no cost to participants.

Healthy Texas Women is for females who are:

  • Ages 15 to 44 years old (15-17 years olds must have their parent apply for them),
  • S. citizens or eligible immigrants,
  • Living in Texas,
  • Don’t have health insurance,
  • Are not pregnant, and
  • Meet household income requirements.

To apply for Healthy Texas Women, you must bring each of the following to the clinic:

  1. Proof of Household Income bring one or more of the following- most recent income tax statement, most recent W-2 form, 2 or more paystubs from the past 60 days, a letter from your employer about your wages, or a letter from the person who supports you financially.
  2. Texas Driver’s License or other Photo ID that shows you live in Texas
  3. For women: Proof of U.S. Citizenship permanent residency – U.S. passport, passport card, U.S. birth certificate, or permanent resident card
  1. Social Security Cards – For You, Your Children  (if you or they have a Social Security number)

The Texas Family Planning Program is for males and females who:

  • Do not qualify for Healthy Texas Women
  • Live in Texas (does not have to be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident)
  • Are age 64 and younger, and
  • Meet household income requirements.

We offer other funding programs for people who do not qualify for Healthy Texas Women. For some programs, you do not need to be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. The household income requirements are similar for most of our programs. Our clinics can give you more information at your appointment.
