How to pay for your healthcare services
Good news! Our services are low to no cost, making getting the healthcare you need easy.
We are In-Network with Many Private Insurance Plans
We accept plans through the following:
- BCBS HMO Blue Advantage
- Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Choice
- Cigna
- HealthSmart
- HealthSprings
- Humana
- MultiPlan, Inc PHCS
- United
Appointments are strongly encouraged if you have insurance so we can verify your coverage and, if necessary, get pre-approval for your care. Call us at 956-688-3700 for your appointment and let us know you have private insurance.
Please bring your insurance card or proof of current enrollment in your plan to the clinic.
Benefits of Choosing Access Esperanza Clinics if You Have Insurance:
- Quick appointments: We can usually schedule your appointment within a day or two.
- Lots of preventive health services: We offer physical exams, breast and cervical cancer screenings, STI testing/treatment, birth control, and many health screenings such as diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and anemia.
- No Copay if You Qualify by Income: If you qualify, we will waive your copay fees and save you money. Please bring proof of your income (two or more pay stubs or other proof) to the clinic so we can determine if you qualify. If you do not qualify by income, we may charge a copay, depending on your insurance plan.
- In-House Pharmacy: Each of our clinics stocks all birth control methods and many treatment medications, saving you time and possibly money by not having to go to an outside pharmacy.
- Less Waiting and Fewer Stops: Every clinic maintains a supply of birth control, so there’s no waiting. You can receive a method on your first visit, including the arm implant or the IUD.
- Send prescriptions: If we do not have the medication you need in stock, we can send your prescription to the pharmacy of your choice.
We accept Medicaid
We accept the following Medicaid MCO plans:
- Molina
- Superior
- Driscoll
With Medicaid, you do not need a referral from your primary care physician to receive family planning services at our clinics. Please call us at 956-688-3700 if your Medicaid MCO tells you that you do.
Benefits of Choosing Access Esperanza Clinics if You Have Medicaid:
- Quick appointments: We can usually schedule your appointment within a day or two.
- Lots of preventive health services: We offer physical exams, breast and cervical cancer screenings, STI testing/treatment, birth control, and many health screenings such as diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and anemia.
- In-House Pharmacy: Each of our clinics stocks all birth control methods and many treatment medications, saving you time by not having to go to an outside pharmacy.
- Less Waiting and Fewer Stops: Every clinic maintains a supply of birth control, and you can get up to a year of birth control or the long-acting arm implant or the IUD on your first visit.
Send prescriptions: If we do not have the medication you need in stock, we can send your prescription to the pharmacy of your choice.
Funding Programs for Free or Low-Cost Services
We will help you apply at our clinic, and you can receive services on the same visit.
Who qualifies for a financial assistance funding program:
- Adults and teens of childbearing age
- U.S. citizens and Texas residents
- Living in the U.S.
- Meet household income requirements (see table)– Your household includes you, your spouse, and your children under age 18. Other family members or people you live with are not included in your household.

Healthy Texas Women is for females:
- Ages 15 to 44 (15–17-year-olds must have their parent apply for them.),
- U.S. citizens or eligible immigrants,
- Living in Texas,
- Who don’t have health insurance,
- Are not pregnant, and
- Meet household income requirements.
To apply for Healthy Texas Women, you must bring each of the following to the clinic:
- Proof of household income (2-3 pay stubs, an employer’s statement about your wages, child support documents), AND
- Photo ID (such as a Texas driver’s license or Texas I.D.), AND
- Proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residency such as a U.S. birth certificate, passport card or certificate, AND
- Social Security card/s for you, your spouse, and your children, AND
- Medicaid coverage or health insurance information for your spouse and your children
Other funding programs cover adults and teens:
- Who are of family planning age,
- Living in the U.S.,
- Females who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents,
- Males,
- Teens (ages 17 and younger must have parental consent), and
- Who meet household income levels
Bring to apply for these other financial aid funding programs:
- Proof of household income (2-3 pay stubs, an employer’s statement about your wages, child support documents), AND
- Photo ID (such as a Texas driver’s license or state I.D.).
- Optional- If you have Social Security cards for you or members of your household, please bring them.
If you do not have all the listed documents to apply for a program, come anyway, you will be seen.
Self Pay/Private Pay
If you do not qualify for other programs or just prefer to pay, we accept cash, check, and ATM/debit cards for your convenience.
Our goal is to provide accessible, affordable healthcare to all members of our community.
We do not quote prices over the phone, but our fees are more affordable than at a doctor’s office or private clinic.
